Paper Talk

Proposed by the Galerie DIX9, in conjunction with its exhibition "Mémoires de livre" (Book Memories), the artist River Lin conceives the performance piece Paper Talk, exploring and responding the context of addressing books and notations in terms of using papers as the material for plastic art making.

The action of of this performance is to breath and move a paper while the performer's body tries to act from the very silence to strong vibration. The movement of paper and body is reflecting to one another. Wrinkles, folds, and traces has become the transformational expression of the paper, notating the progress of how one's body physically and emotionally has moved.

The paper of this performance remains a piece of artwork, with the intervention of a bodily act.
